Behind the Curve (2018) ★★★1/2

A simultaneously lighthearted and harrowing look into a belief system held by a surprisingly high number of people. There’s a brilliant moment in this documentary when we are encouraged not to ostracize or belittle these people, yet by the end it’s hard to feel like we are able to do anything else. I can’t decide if that’s a result of the angle of filmmaking, or just the preposterous nature of the subject matter.
