Fort George "Skies of Wonder" ★1/4

This is very sweet and “below average.” I feel like they were a bit over concerned with this beer not tasting too strong or too heavy. They went a bit overboard with the other flavors and it just doesn’t translate. It reminds me of orange gummy candy. This is definitely lower echelon as “hazy” IPAs go. I think this has to be graded on a sliding scale. You can’t say this is “average” because that includes things you’d buy a six pack of. For me, Sierra Nevada “Hazy lLittle Thing” is a perfectly adequate beer. Anything below that is crap. That’s the benchmark. I need any other hazy beer to at least be THAT good for me to want to consume it with fervor.
