The Last Black Man in SF ★★★★★

Holy shit. I forgot how incredible this movie is. I feel like I’m on emotional overload; I watched this and No Country in the same day. OBVIOUSLY different emotions, but emotions nonetheless. 

Jimmy and Monte have to be up there with the greatest friendships ever put onscreen. This is legitimate true love and the fact that I don’t need to put that in air quotes speaks to just how much this movie has to say about masculinity. Don’t even get me started on the cinematography here. Literally every single skating shot at sunset had me almost pausing to stare at it frame-by-frame. AND THAT SLO-MO ❤️ 

This is an incredible film and one that shouldn’t be missed. Gonna be a contender in my top 3 of 2019. Not excited to narrow that list down.
